|Robox Dual Material Kit: Pre-order link||5 Relevance||6 years ago||Pete||Chatter|
|This link is to a kit which allows Robox to print with 2 different materials with independent control. You heard it here first! We have had a lot of requests for a Dual Material Head. We are very pleased to be able to show you some pre-release images and details on this item AND to make it available for pre-order. Because so many of the required features for this head are already present in the current dual nozzle head we are confident that we can have the Dual Material Head ready to ship by June 2014. To avoid additional pressure on our development team which may cause delay to our current commitments, we are not going to be creating stretch goals on Kickstarter. Dual Material Kit for Robox® This kit includes all the parts you need to turn Robox into a dual material system. The Dual Material head consists of 2 independently controlled heated nozzles each with the unique Robox needle valve control system. Also included is a 2nd extruder which is very easy to install in your Robox and a reel which will store the 2nd material. The package includes: RBX1-DM Dual Material Head RBX1-X1 Spare/replacement extruder RBX1-2M 2 material reel system RBX1-BT Spare/replacement Bowden Tube Screws, cables and fittings Robox and it's upgrade parts come with the standard CEL 2 year warranty and customer service promise.|
|Custom Dual Head – dual 0.8mm nozzles||5 Relevance||2 years ago||Charles Jackson||Chatter|
|Ok so I have some large models to print which dont have any very fine detail. After using the 0.6mm Dev head and then (for the 1st time since owning the printer the Quickfill 0.8mm nozzle) noticed the significantly faster print times. Obvious really as they can lay down more plastic that a 0.4mm So * head voiding warranty issue here!!* i took out the 0.4mm nozzle ( Heat hed to temp, remove from printer, clean up) and then drilled them out to 0.8mm and stuck em back in carefully. The needle valves seal absolutely fine. And hey presto a 0.8mm Dual head. To get working I’ve been using Slic3r with either robox slicer extension or Repetier Host.. you just need to make sure you change the nozzle size definition to 0.8mm or underextrusionsville here we come. I guess if you altered the Dual Material 0.4mm 0.4mm.roboxhead file in C:Program FilesCELCommonHeads and changed diammeter in the .XML that would make it work fine in Automaker. @17bt @click @nebbian @palindrom you all like tinkering so thought you might appreciate this|
|Dual Material Head Nozzles||5 Relevance||6 years ago||John Yaron||Technical Support|
|Is it true that the dual material head will not have the coarse (0.8mm) / fine (0.3mm) capability.... and the head will simply have Qty-2 0.3mm -or- 0.8mm nozzles? I also assume the software will magically switch to single nozzle material/support prints instead of coarse/fine material-only mode. If so, I assume the Robox composite finished part resolution will now approach that of typical dual material competitors.|
|Discount price on dual-material head||4 Relevance||6 years ago||physicsmajor||Chatter|
|Earlier it was stated the discount price on the dual-material head would last "at least through the beta." I'm making this thread to ask two questions: As of this writing the pre-order price is still valid, but Is this still roughly the correct timeframe? Will we be warned clearly a week or two in advance of when the dual material head's pre-order price expires? Last thought: if the pre-order price was extended beyond the beta, until about 1 month after normal backer units are delivered (but development was still ongoing on the dual material head), I expect there would be a rush of orders.|
|Dual Material Head testing||4 Relevance||4 years ago||uhuglue||AutoMaker Beta Test Feedback|
|Hi guys, Just wondering if there is a Dual Material Head Testing topic lurking about somewhere here and if there is, could I please be added? I thought I saw it before and requested access, whereupon I got a test email and lost even further access to some topics on this board, I think. Not sure what went wrong (seems like the permissions settings are a bit wonky sometimes), but I am considering getting a new print head, however if progress on the dual material head is promising, I thought I might as well get that instead.|

|After almost 6 months not having much spare time I reconnected Robox in my new study with hope I'll get more spare time over Christmas period. Dual material head was enthusiastically announced to be released in November (here) which didn't affect me as I wouldn't have time to play with it anyway. Also, same place said if not November then early December. It passed too. Are there any chances seeing it before Christmas at all?|
|Problem after upgrading the robox with dual head kit||4 Relevance||3 years ago||Alain||Technical Support|
|The "home" no longer works correctly, head up 2-3 cm descends 2-3 cm, and stop immediately believing touch the print table !! then head off to the left as is for the home job. Using the steering controls can move forward and backward the table, moving from left to right and back head, but the height !! or perhaps the problem?|

|Dual head||4 Relevance||1 year ago||Oliver||Technical Support|
|Hello I have an issue with my Pro. The dual head do not want to purge. When I ask to purge, temperature start to heat, and then stops and go down, or do not reach the required temp. I have to notice that i had to stop manually the machine several times to do these tests (which I know is not recommended, but was not able to do in another way). I also tested with another dual head I had from a former dual machine, and issue is the same. When head is cold and machine is starting, the temp given by the system is wrong : it's about -32°C, which is obviously impossible. When testing with the quick fill or the ruby head, it's possible to purge and print. A cold quick fill head also give a 18-20°C temperature, which is very close to room temperature. I imagine that the sensors channels are common between all the types of head for at least one temp channel, so the printer itself, the wires and the pins between the head and the machine should be ok. I tried to clean them with IPA without success. I join a picture taken from the computer. Any idea of what could be wrong ?? :-) Thank in advance. Oliver ps : I opened a ticket, but your help is welcome Capture_temp.png|
|Dual Head kit: what it will contain||4 Relevance||4 years ago||Omega64||Chatter|
|Howdy @pete & @siymon, I know it's premature to publish a list of what will be in the Dual Head kit, as it has yet to be finalized as a company decision. But, for at least the things you are 99-100% certain that will be there, could you please let us know those? For example I'd like to know if a reel of HIPS will be included with all Dual Head kits, so I don't have to order it separately. Same thing for the new type wiper blade, or anything else. So far I only know that I won't need to purchase a 2nd Extruder, but about all the rest, I'm in shade. Of course I'm not asking you to engage/undertake in any official affirmation ("x will be in the kit") when you are not sure about that, but those things you're comfortably nearly certain there will, it would be appreciated to know up front, as I'm willing to order a kit and I need to know what else to purchase with it and what not and how much all will cost. Thanks in advance for your reply.|

|Dual Head upgrade kit - Rant||5 Relevance||3 years ago||Lee||Chatter|
|I'm wondering if someone would be so kind as to give me a parts list for the dual head upgrade kit please? We recently purchased 2 dual heads from an affiliated Robox seller and then realized we could purchase items directly from Cel UK. Then we ordered 2 of the new extruders directly from CEL UK with the aim to upgrading our 2 machines to dual material/flex. Eventually after watching the dual material head upgrade videos we realized that we do not have all of the components. Not a problem we thought, surely we can simply contact CEL UK and they will sell us the remaining parts. Apparently not... because we purchased the heads through a re-seller??? I'm told that i must send the heads back to the affiliated re-seller for a refund and then they will directly sell me a dual head upgrade kit but remove the extruders (because we already have them). The problem is that it will take us an extremely long time to get a refund from the reseller because it was purchased on an account. I'm told that i cannot simply be sold the extra parts that we need because they are only available in the dual material kits. What i fail to understand is that they can remove the extruders from the kit (because we already have them) so how come they cannot remove the heads also? I have proved via receipt/sales order that we purchased the items so i cannot see what the problem is. Unsure what to do now but the way things are panning out we will have £550 quids worth of parts that i cannot do anything with other than use the extruders as spares. The heads are useless to us because they cannot be used without doing the full conversion. Extremely annoying and needless to say i cannot understand where CEL customer service is coming from at all. The amount of problems we initially had with these 2 machines were silly to be honest. We did stick it out and eventually ended up with 2 working machines after numerous faulty components. We only have 217 hours on one machine and under 150 on the other. Has anybody else experienced a similar problem? What happened? At the moment we are tempted to box them all up and move to another brand. It seems we are wasting our time and money. Not impressed at all. Thoughts please?|
