too much material ejected at start lines (and too little for shell)

I have a first generation robox and latest Automaker and the start point of a  line of a print layer gets a blob from extra material ejected (and the skin lines seem underextruded, with gaps between them, so I can't really tweak the flow).

This is where I would link the pic, but it gets removed when I post (why?) how do you upload pics?

Can anything be done, thank you

Robox is a complex machine with many potential uses, to help preserve the good working order of both hardware and software please be patient and note that many common fixes for other 3D printers do not apply to Robox and may cause irreversible damage or compromise safe operation.
